£8.85 - sandwiches, chicken drumsticks, sausage rolls, quiches, cakes, coleslaw, crisps tea and coffee
£11.95 - choice of starter, soup/melon/prawn cocktail (£2.00 extra), carved meat platter, hot new potatoes, mixed salad, coleslaw, potato salad, quiches, bread roll and butter, a choice of sweets, tea and coffee, salmon is available on the menu also for a extra £2.00

Green Policy
The Old Post House Hotel achieves a strong Silver Award due to the owner's environmental commitment and a
range of good practice measures being in place in most areas. There is some good 'green' information on site for
the guests. The hotel gives special rates for people attending bird watching tours and has very good public
transport options that could be promoted further. Green purchasing is supported through the use of some
recycled paper products and the promotion of a range of local food and drink. The hotel has new energy efficient
boilers and has a high % of low energy throughout.
We use energy efficient light bulbs throughout the hotel, a high percentage of paper we use is 100% recycled. All staff members have received an induction towards being green. We have a towel policy to encourage guests to leave dirty and clean towels in separate places so we are not washing unnecessary amounts of towels.
We try to encourage green efficient activities such as walking, catching buses/trains instead of driving which is very handy as we are some 2 minutes away from the bus/train station, bike riding etc, we have in our hotel many bus and train timetables and information about the bus journeys. leaflets about local walks and things to do and see around the Clitheroe area.

| Testimonial | We stayed at the Old Post House Hotel during our recent Land's End to John O'Groates challenge. The staff were warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived and upheld their commitment to being a bike friendly hotel. The food was exellent and there appeared nothing that the staff wouldn't do to make our evening comfortable. We left in the morning fully refreshed and ready for another long ride. We are not sure that we will ever cycle from Land's End to John O'Groates again but we will stay at The Old House Hotel if we ever find ourselves in Clitheroe. | Testimonial | thanks for a lovely friendly stay on Saturday November 28th. The service is still the same as when we first stayed with you if not better. The rooms were lovely and clean and warm and you are still as friendly and remembered us. The in laws were happy with their room apart from it being too hot, but we said to them why didn't they turn the radiator down and they said they didn't think of that!! still got to make exceptions for them I suppose they are in their seventes. Well, have a lovely christmas and all the best for 2010 and our next visit to clitheroe. We will probably come up for a couple of nights next time as we really want to try out the evening menu. | Testimonial | Hey Americans and nonAmericans! Stay at the Old Post Hotel! We arrived from America (Minnesota) for a 4-5 day stay and chose the Old Post Hotel. Little did we know that our warm memories of fabulous service and helpful accommodations would fill our hearts now and years to come. Roger and Pru and staff made our stay unbelieveably memorable. They accommodated six of us perfectly. We loved the full English breakfast every morning and they were so flexible with our two year old's eating habits, as well as beautiful cooking for the rest of us off the wonderful menu.
