As many Of You well know, The Fellsman runs every year, for those of you that don't, it is an enjoyable 260mile return steam hauled journey traveling over Britain's most spectacular railway, the famous 'Settle to Carlisle' line including the great arched viaduct at Ribblehead on this masterpiece of Victorian engineering, with time available in either Appleby or Carlisle for sightseeing.

Prices for this years are:

Standard class: £59 adult, £45 Children (under 15), party of 4 £220

First Class: Adult £89, Children £75, party of 4 £340

Premier Dining: (1st class open carriages, full English breakfast, 3Course Dinner) Adults & children £139, party of 4 £540



Next Year!!

Next year we are offering a special package for those traveling on the fellsman, 2 nights, dinner, bed & breakfast with a pack lunch to take on the train.

The idea of this will be that you arrive here at The Old Post House, have a delicious 3 Course meal, enjoy a stay in 1 of our rooms, have breakfast in the morning, receive your lunch, depart on the train which normally departs around 10:00am, you will then arrive back at around 7:00pm where you can then have your evening meal, 1 more nights stay and then breakfast again in the morning!

Prices for this will be up nearer the time.

Thank you so much for a splendid evening on April 4th , the venue, setting, meal and staff could not have been better.
All of my guests were full of compliments from the succulence of the lamb to the attentiveness of the staff.
You went out of your way to make us all welcome and make sure we had a memorable evening.
The overnight guests are still ringing me up and talking about the breakfasts, certainly the one guest who had the smoked haddock and poached egg, was excellent!
